Erin and I are just about ready to head out on our brief but well-planned trip. We decided to wake up when we wake up (so much better than getting up at 4:30 on a summer morning like yesterday) so that we could feel vacation-y. The weather looks warm and muggy for the weekend, so that is a plus I think.
Erin knows I love driving through the country and being distracted by towns, rivers, dams, mountains, trees, bus stops, and what can only be old gas stations. Going through Pennsylvania on minor roads should give us plenty of opportunities to look at old, semi-industrial scenery. Sometimes I don't even care where we are going, just that we are going. She did a very good job in finding a route for us that I hadn't done before!
Now, make some sandwiches, pretend to pack carefully, and look forward to getting some coffee for the trip. More later!
